In Canada, the United Way operates in more than 100 communities, including Peel, Toronto & York Region where U of T’s campuses are located. Every United Way raises support locally, directly responding to the needs of the community. Purchase any Blue Dragon Coffee on November 22 and the proceeds go to United Way

Our 2018 Campaign runs October 1st to December 31st, 2018

For over 20 years, U of T has contributed over $19 million to our community

University of Toronto campuses are located in the communities supported by the United Way Toronto & York Region (St. George and U of T Scarborough) and Peel Region (U of T Mississauga). In 2016 alone, our faculty, staff, and students contributed over $600,000. Our generous support impacted a variety of programs that service the community:
  • Over 15,800 children and their families took part in programs geared at helping to raise healthy kids
  • Over 8,000 education and job training sessions were provided to newcomers, helping them settle into their new home
